Conversational ASL
Whether you're brand new to ASL (American Sign Language) or looking for people to practice full conversations with, this welcoming class is open to everyone! Instructor Amy Cone, an experienced ASL interpreter across a variety of fields, brings deep passion and knowledge to each session. She is sometimes accompanied by her husband, Daniel, who is Deaf and adds both personal insight and a wonderful sense of humor to every class. Together, they tailor each session to the needs and skill levels of the participants, making it a great fit for beginners and experienced learners alike.

Watercolor for Beginners
Laidback class giving you a hands-on, non-scary introduction to the basics of watercolor: water control, paint dilution, and color mixing (No previous painting or drawing experience required!)
You will take home your very first 5” x 7” mini painting of 3 pumpkins + gourds, plus a supply list + step by step instructions for more practice at home.

Join Candle Labs for a fun night of candle making.

Hand-built Sgraffito Mug Workshop
Join Allison Swanner of Exceptional Artist for a 2-hour hand-building clay workshop at Calamity’s Coffee! Participants will learn slab-building techniques to create their own coffee mug from clay, then choose from colorful slips and use the sgraffito technique to carve a one-of-a-kind design into the surface.
This beginner-friendly workshop will guide you through the entire process—from building your mug to adding color and carving your design. Choose a simple design or get creative and make it your own! All skill levels are welcome, and no clay experience is needed.
After the workshop, your mug will be returned to the studio to dry, receive a clear glaze, and be kiln-fired. Finished mugs will be available for pickup at a later date.
All clay materials, instruction, glazing, and firing are included.

A Life's End Open Dialogue is a welcoming, respectful gathering where people come together to talk openly about death, dying, grief, and the meaning of life. Inspired by the global Death Café movement, this is not a support group, therapy session, or lecture. Instead, it is an informal conversation where everyone is invited to share experiences, ask questions, listen, and reflect in a judgment-free environment.
Whether you've experienced loss, work in end-of-life care, are curious about advance planning, or simply want to explore a topic that is often avoided, you are welcome. There is no agenda, no expectation to speak, and no right or wrong perspective.
Our goal is to normalize conversations about mortality, reduce fear through open discussion, and encourage deeper appreciation for the lives we are living today.
Come as you are, enjoy a cup of coffee or tea, and join us for meaningful conversation in a safe, compassionate space.

Learn how to create your very own stained glass project in our 2 hour mobile Stained Glass Workshop at Calamity's Coffee! The participant begins with a pre-cut and ground kit of stained glass and learns how to copper foil and solder. There will be several kits and many colors to choose from to create your own masterpiece!

This Intro 2hr stained glass class is for those who want to learn the very basics of stained glass. You will be guided to learn how to copper foil and solder a small pre-cut project. Everyone leaves with their very own completed piece! All skill levels welcome & all materials provided- no experience needed!
NOTE: Please wear cotton clothing and close-toed shoes with long hair pulled back. Must be 14yr or older for this class (anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult). This activity requires good close vision and hand dexterity.

Previously called the Secret City Scrappers, the Maker’s Club is composed of anyone who likes to craft. The last Friday of the month is your opportunity to create, build, craft, tinker, invent, or learn new skills. Bring materials with you and surround yourself with other folks who love making things in a supportive environment.
Knowing this is dinner time, some of our makers have been known to bring snacks to share with the group (not guaranteed).

That's right, Black, Green, White tea and every flavor profile under all those headings come from Camellia. Join The Empirical Herbalist, Ruth Shelton in this introductory class. We’ll cover a bit of history, science, preparations, flavor profiles and medicinal attributes. This is the perfect class for all levels of tea drinkers to expand on their knowledge and appreciation.

Women & CoWorking is not your normal networking event! Speakers will broadly discuss a topic in their area of expertise from 5:30-6pm and then we open the floor for honest dialogue. This is your chance to meet others who face similar challenges and successes, and to connect with experts who can provide support.
You do not want to miss Dr. Amy Elliott! This month, we will discuss what is like to be a female leader in a male dominated field. Dr. Elliott takes her passion for science and engineering beyond her professional role as a scientist, engaging with broad audiences through media, education, and outreach. She debuted on the Discovery Channel's The Big Brain Theory in 2013, placing 2nd in a competition showcasing real-world applications of science to 749,000 viewers. She later served as a technical expert on the Science Channel's Outrageous Acts of Science, appearing in 86 episodes over seven seasons, reaching millions nationally and globally. Dr. Elliott also gave a TEDx Talk, "Refostering Innovation in America," sharing her insights on innovation and STEM.
As an AAAS IF/THEN Ambassador, she was 3D scanned into a life-sized statue displayed at the Smithsonian, the only ambassador scanned while pregnant-celebrating both intellectual achievement and motherhood. Through the program, she inspired over one million girls and authored Amelia Gearheart: Where Does Electricity Come From?, a children's book promoting STEM careers. The book highlights diverse role models and educates both children and parents on energy technologies and career opportunities. Her YouTube series, Amelia Gearheart, uses fun, colorful STEM activities to engage families and inspire career exploration.

Women & CoWorking is a space for entrepreneurs who want real conversations, practical resources, and the chance to ask the tough questions. These monthly meetups center around a core topic led by an expert in the field, while leaving plenty of room for open discussion with people who understand the realities of entrepreneurship.
This isn’t a stiff networking event or a perfectly polished business meeting. Women's Small Business Networking
Join us for a great conversation about sound healing.
Music has been used to heal body and soul since ancient times. Studies have shown healing on a cellular level after short exposure to certain frequencies. Please join us for an exploration into the use of sound. This will include a short sound bath and an instrument show and tell.

Melissa is a compassionate healer with over 35 years of experience. She combines her passion for CranioSacral Therapy(CST) with her background as an Occupational Therapist to facilitate healing for newborns to end of life care.
