Conversational ASL

  • Calamitys Coffee West End 1968 Oak Ridge Turnpike Oak Ridge, TN, 37830 United States (map)

Whether you're brand new to ASL (American Sign Language) or looking for people to practice full conversations with, this welcoming class is open to everyone! Instructor Amy Cone, an experienced ASL interpreter across a variety of fields, brings deep passion and knowledge to each session. She is sometimes accompanied by her husband, Daniel, who is Deaf and adds both personal insight and a wonderful sense of humor to every class. Together, they tailor each session to the needs and skill levels of the participants, making it a great fit for beginners and experienced learners alike.

This is our most attended class, so please be sure to email us to reserve your seat. While the class is free, donations are appreciated to help cover the cost of handouts and the instructors’ time (recommended donation: $5).

Come learn, practice, and connect through ASL in a supportive and engaging environment!
